He has turned the space, which was once a shoe warehouse, into a yoga studio that can hold 20 students plus five sauna/shower spaces. The wellness center will also feature a shot bar where you can get vitamin injections (including anti-aging and hangover boost), and crystal and Reiki healing sessions. You can purchase individual classes, or join a monthly membership for $150, which includes one class a day and free power-up shots.
- The Wellness Kitchen
A temple to wellness, The Wellness Kitchen houses multiple nonprofit tenant organizations and facilitates collaboration, and provides resources for its community. Its mission is to inspire and empower residents and patients to take control of their own health and well-being through culturally sensitive wellness and prevention services.
Its Kitchen Divas program hosts healthy cooking classes that include professionally guided, educational discussions and peer support for women age forty and up. - Wanderlust Hollywood
Wanderlust — the popular yoga festival that first started in Lake Tahoe — now has a permanent home in Los Angeles in a community center and yoga studio. The multilevel, 10,000-square-foot space combines retail space with yoga and meditation classes, a full-service organic and local cafe, and special wellness and yogic lifestyle programming.
Class offerings include a mix of traditional yoga and the more modern “Soulscape” classes, which feature collaborations between amazing teachers and popular musicians/DJs. Designed to be a microcosm of the four-day transformation experience of Wanderlust festivals, these classes are powerful, intense and fun. Beat aligns with breath and musical intensity aligns with movement as yoga poses and chanting are set to rhythm, while students move through the class with their own internal fire.
The new studio also features a full bar with locally sourced spirits and a menu of healthy treats like chia pudding and turmeric iced tea. It’s an uplifting space that feels at once like a studio and a lounge, where you can get your sweat on in a high-energy Vinyasa Flow class, then relax with a cup of tea. You can even book a massage or detox facial.
